Gangwoo Kim

About

Hello! I am a Ph.D. candidate in Computer Science at Korea University, advised by Jaewoo Kang. My research area is based on natural language processing (NLP) and deep learning. Specifically, I am interested in generating effective questions in various scenarios. My research mainly focuses on addressing (1) question rewriting and generation for tasks like reading comprehension [SimSeek, ExCorD], and document retrieval [Conv-Shortcut] in conversational QA. Currently, I also have a broad interest in expanding it to other complex tasks like clarifying ambiguous questions [Tree of Clarifications]

I previously interned at Microsoft Research Asia (Mentor: Eric Chang) and Naver AI Lab (Mentor: Sungdong Kim).
